Cosmoplast is used for pronounced lip wrinkles and face creases; Cosmoderm is used for smaller lip wrinkles. Both these fillers contain a tiny amount of an anesthetic, helping the patients to feel minimal pain.

There are numerous other promising and popular new fillers, including: Artefill, Captique, Fascian, Juvedérm, Sculptra, Restylane, and good old BOTOX, of course.

BOTOX works a little different than the rest of the filler corrections to remove lip wrinkles. BOTOX actually relaxes the muscles of the face, which contract and cause wrinkles to form. Other fillers, on the other hand, generally simply fill in the groves under the wrinkles to remove lip wrinkles.

One of the safest and the most popular fillers is Fat Transfer (Microlipoinjection). Fat Transfer involves a doctor taking some fat from another part of the patient’s body (buttocks, thighs, etc.), and then inserting this fat underneath the wrinkles. Thus, Fat Transfer is one of the least dangerous types of filler, because what you get injected with is your own body fat.
